Beneficiaries:
People residing in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions can benefit from the Mental Health Program free of charge.
Scope of the Program:
Medical services for patients with mental health problems include:
- Community outpatient service
- Community-based mobile team service
- Psychosocial rehabilitation
- Children's mental health - outpatient and inpatient services
- Psychiatric crisis intervention service for adults aged 16-65
- Mental inpatient services for adults
- Provision of shelter for disabled persons with mental disorders
Engagement in the Program and documents to be submitted:
To engage in the Program a person residing in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions should:
- Possess a personal identification number granted as result of registration; or
- Possess a neutral ID (SNID) or neutral travel document (SNTD).
In case of relevant diagnosis, the patient is directed to the healthcare institution participating in the Program.
Program Funding:
Services provided by the Mental Health Program are fully reimbursed and do not require any co-payment by a beneficiary.
